Modernising Scientific Careers shortlisted for Workforce Innovation award

The Modernising Scientific Careers programme has been shortlisted for the Guardian 2013 Healthcare Innovation Awards' Workforce Innovation Award.

The entry highlighted the fact that Modernising Scientific Careers introduced a single coherent career, training and education framework across the whole of the healthcare science workforce for the first time, inclusive of support staff through to Consultant Clinical Scientists.

The CSO, Professor Sue Hill OBE, outlined the successes of the programme to the International Conference on Medical Physics earlier this month and highlighted the work still to be done on implementation and service mapping.
